Lesson Two: Project Management Define Phase

The project management define phase will start immediately after a project is confirmed or selected. The objectives of this define phase is to provide a clearly stated goals and scopes to the project team members so that they understand what they want to accomplished. At the same time, the project team will also review what the potential risk and obstacles that they are going to face.

As usual, most project team will make the mistake of jumping into action without really put the time and effort into this critical project management phase. And some people just feel that this phase is just a waste of time. But from my personal experience this is probably one of the most important phase. Like a famous quote says, "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail".
